Description
Longitudinal electric-welded pipe with diameter 508-1422 mm with a wall thickness of from 8.0 to 50 mm, intended for:
— construction of trunk oil and gas pipelines;
gas pipelines in the Northern climate zone (with temperatures up to minus 60 °C);
— subsea and pipelines (increased corrosion resistance and cold resistance);
— pipelines for transport of oil products with high content of hydrogen sulfide.
Are made of steel of strength classes up to K65 (foreign counterparts — up to X80) for the construction of pipelines with working pressure up to 320 atmospheres.
Pipes are manufactured on two independent lines with different production methods — UOE (TESA 1020)
and JCO (TESA 1420). Pipe can be manufactured with one or two longitudinal seams.
Line TESA 1020
Produces pipes with a diameter 508-1067 mm with wall thickness from 8.0 mm to 32 mm, strength class up to K65 (X80).
Design capacity of 1012 thousand tons of pipes per year.
Line TESA 1420
Produces pipes with a diameter of 508-1422 mm with a wall thickness of from 8.0 to 50 mm, strength class up to K65 (X80),
with a working pressure up to 320 bar. Design capacity of 950 thousand tons of pipes per year.
At the customer's request the plant supplies pipes with external three-layer polyethylene anti-corrosion and
polypropylene coating or one - and two-layer epoxy coating, and internal anti-friction or
anti-corrosion coating.
Its production fully complies with the requirements of national and international standards for main gas-and-oil pipes, as well as the requirements of applicable building codes OTT, including SNiP 2.05.06-85 OTT-23.040.00-KTN-051-11.
Pipes are also certified by the American petroleum Institute standard API Spec 5L.
The quality of the welded pipes is ensured by:
input quality control of steel sheets and welding consumables;
— non-destructive control;
— hydraulic testing of each pipe, when permitted by the tension of 0.95 of the minimum yield strength;
— mechanical tests of base metal and weld pipes;
— visual inspection of the inner and outer surfaces and measurement of geometrical parameters of pipes;
— marking of pipes providing criteria for traceability and identification of products;
— comprehensive testing of anticorrosion pipe coating.
In 2006-2007, for the first time, Russia had successfully mastered the production of pipes for subsea pipelines,
meet the requirements of one of the most rigid world standards for this type of pipe — Norwegian
DNV-OS-F101.
In April 2007 the certificate of conformity manufactured at OJSC "VMZ" pipes the requirements of the standard
DNV-OS-F101 for submarine pipeline systems Det Norske Veritas. This allowed ZAO "OMK" in September
year to become the only Russian winner of the international tender for the supply in 2008-2009 280 thousand
tons of pipes with diameter of 1220 mm with a wall thickness of 30.9; of 34.6 and 41.0 mm for the construction of the underwater section of the pipeline
Nord Stream under the Baltic sea.
In 2005, for the first time in Russia commissioned in line TESA-1420 for the production of longitudinal single-joint
pipes up to a diameter of 1422 mm and the two lines external corrosion-resistant coating (WPT No. 2 and WPT No. 5) and the line
internal coating (WITT).
In 2006-2008, implemented projects associated with increasing capacity of the plant for production and
anti-corrosion coating of pipes:
— installation on the line TESA 1420 second step forming press from SMS Meer (Germany), which allowed to increase
power lines with 570 thousand tons to 950 thousand tons of pipes per year, and the total capacity of the complex to 2 million tons per year;
— the construction of two new lines of external PTC tubes (UATP No. 3 and No. 4) and upgrades to the interior of the cover;
— installation on the line TESA 1020 two hydromechanical expanders for ekspedirovanie pipes throughout the length of that
will produce pipes with wall thickness up to 32 mm and a length of 12.4 m with a stable geometric
parameters.
— TESA 1020 are made of electric-welded pipes with one or two longitudinal welds with a diameter of
508-1067 mm wall thickness 8-32 mm of steel of K65 strength class (up to X80), technology for the production of pipes — UOE.
— TESA 1420 are made of electric-welded pipes with one or two longitudinal welds with a diameter of
508-1422 mm with wall thickness up to 48 mm from steel of strength classes up to K65 (up to X80),
manufacture technology of pipe — JCO.
— Multi-stage non-destructive testing guarantees the quality and reliability of pipes.
